The fantastical creatures of the forests of the Southern Continent. They are large terrifying apex predators in a land of apex predators. While their thick hide is resistant to guns and blades, these resistances can be weakened temporarily with the proper application of fire.

 Reapers are creatures affected by a strange ailment somehow related to surge stone. They are innately resistant surge stone based abilities and have access to a limited supply of abilities based on surge stone.

Those lost or wandering souls who were not killed in the forest, but learned how hard it is to survive here. Driven mad by the whispers of the forests these groups are more than willing to see Sorrow burn if it means they eat for another day.
